Humans of RESQ- Shreyas Dudhgaonkar

Our man of numbers and meticulous keeper of the accounts, Shreyas Dudhgaokar is the Senior Manager of Accounts and Administration at RESQ.

Quiet and self-contained, but always helpful and kind! A Commerce graduate, Shreyas started off in life freelancing as an adventure and outdoor expert on treks. However, he soon realised his love for numbers and got back to working in finance and accounting. After a few years of steady employment, he recognized he wanted more from life. He wanted a life that not only brought him job satisfaction but also know he left the world a better place than he had found it. Serendipitously, he heard about job availability in RESQ and so began a new era for both.

Five years later and to this date, Shreyas claims to be as happy doing what he does best in an environment he loves immensely. What he loves the most about working at RESQ is the innately productive work culture. The gratification and satisfaction he gets every night knowing that indirectly he has been instrumental in determining a better fate for animals irrespective of the species.

With his passion for the outdoors always just beneath the surface and ready to be called on, his most memorable moments are when he has accompanied rescuers for on-site rescues to help out! A lesser-known fact about Shreyas is that he is ardent in his love for rock climbing and has been doing it for over a decade. When asked what animal he would have liked to be born as, he grins lopsided and replies, “an eagle”.
