Rabies..just the word frightens most of us. It makes us worry about the safety of the people and animals we dearly love. The truth today is that Rabies exists on the streets of our city. What is RESQCT doing about it?
Today is World Rabies Day, and we would like to take this opportunity to announce the collaboration between RESQ and Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) towards a Rabies Free tomorrow!
Together we are undertaking several activities which involve a population census of free-ranging dogs in Pune City, conducting a vaccine efficacy study and rabies testing as well as developing tools and technology to record and process accurate population estimation studies.
Sustained vaccination can break the transmission pathway. Together we can vaccinate, educate and abate!
