"A few days back I was asked - Is there a solid answer to 'Why do pets get abandoned?'
Well, 99% times people get pets home for the wrong reasons; everything stems from that"

Two old pet dogs, a Labrador and Golden Retriever, were kept locked in a place while a prominent family in Pune battled their personal mammoth-scaled legalities. After months of being neglected, they finally made their way to the RESQ Rehoming Centre yesterday...where they are finally safe and will be looked after. They will get plenty of loving interaction, walks, veterinary care, good food and the attention they've been denied for over a year, possibly more.
The truth is, we too are struggling in the challenging times and taking in abandoned animals and their responsibility is a commitment. These dogs are old, their chances of adoption are minimal unless there's a family out there whose willing to adopt not just 1 but 2 senior dogs. We know that rehoming these dogs is going to be hard, but after hearing about their plight, we decided that if they were sent to us, we would open our doors to them because they had bleak chances anywhere else.
"To sum up their personalities; Niko may be intimidating to look at because he's just a shaggy mountain of pitch black fur, but once you get to know him, he's nothing more than a gigantic teddy bear, ever ready with his generous licks and doggie smile. Mickey is a lot more conscious than his brother and will take time to open up and trust us and we are giving him time while he figures out his new environment."
