Peggy is a young heifer who was brought to RESQ from Lonavala with a terrible injury on her foreleg. Her leg was fractured at the mid-shaft portion of the metacarpals and there was a large, infected wound at the site of the break as well.
Luckily, since she is not yet full grown, it was easy to immobilize her leg and change bandages daily. The wound was addressed on a priority basis but the feature was also immobilized so that Peggy cold regain proper use of her leg.
