MEELO: THE PUPPY WHO LOST AN EYE, BUT GAINED A WORLD OF LOVE!
1.5 month-old Meelo was brought to our Emergency Night Rescue team's attention late one night. A concerned reporter told us a puppy had been howling through the night, his face swollen like a balloon, and one eye partially hanging from its socket.
Although we did everything we possibly could to save Meelo's eye, his injury was far too severe by the time we found him, and we were forced to remove the eye.
Displaced eyeball injuries like these often result from serious trauma, and little Meelo has likely survived a brutal street fight with another dog or cat. Such is the life for a puppy on the streets, with no one to claim him, and no place to go. Fortunately for Meelo, he isn't alone any more -- he now has YOU, the incredible animal lovers and supporters who make this community one of the most unshakeable testaments of love and compassion!
In the span of Meelo's heartbreakingly short life, he has already survived fear, starvation, and the loss of a visual organ. Please help us ensure that this is ALL this little one will ever lose. Contribute below to help us give Meelo the best medical treatment possible!

Little Meelo may only have one eye, but he knows true love when he sees it. If you'd like to adopt this sweet puppy, please email us on adoptions@resqct.org
