HELP US HELP STREET ANIMALS!
Share and spread the word:
ResQ has always made it a point to maintain transparency with our donors, visitors, and well-wishers. Today, we'd like to take a moment to pen a heartfelt appeal to every single supporter who ever donated to us, shared our posts on social media, or expressed a kind thought towards the work we do.
Last month, ResQ Charitable Trust was in deficit, which means that we spent more money than we received. In the spirit of maintaining transparency, we are now turning to you -- our community of animal lovers and supporters -- to help us help the injured animals who come to our doorstep in throngs. We need your support to be able to administer emergency medical treatment to animals who bear the brunt of society simply because they were born on the streets; who come to us by the dozen, with no one to love or claim them; or those who have been cruelly abandoned because their families deemed them unworthy of a home. As an NGO that receives zero support from the government and tax-payers, we rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of individual donors like you.
With very few other organisations and animal-loving volunteers still functioning in Pune, ResQ is currently attending to the majority of animal distress calls in the city. The monsoons have brought with it a steady increase in animal emergency reports, and we cannot stress enough how much we are STRUGGLING to attend to these cases. Our funds and resources have been stretched thin, our staff are struggling to cope with this increase in cases, working their fingers to the bone for almost 24 hours every day, and we have already been forced to stop accepting adult dog admissions due to a severe shortage of space. Now, we fear the one thing we've always sworn we would never do -- we may soon have to start refusing treatment to certain animals altogether. Worse still, in a few months' time, ResQ may no longer even be a functioning entity in Pune.
Every year, 15,000 animal lives are touched by ResQ -- all thanks to YOUR support. Please help us continue to save more innocent animal lives! Help ResQ go on by clicking the DONATE button below.
