Meet Muhammad Ali: the young donkey foal whose fighting spirit will overwhelm you. Ali survived a brutal hit-and-run that left his foreleg broken beyond repair, dangling at an unnatural angle as he struggled to walk again. When Ali's owner heard about RESQ, he contacted us immediately, choosing to surrender his animal to us instead of prolonging his suffering. A lot of people who bring large animals to us for treatment often come to us because they lack the financial stability to be able to care for their injuries, or because they believe it would be impossible for the animal to recover in the first place. Though Ali's owner couldn't afford the treatment costs, he chose to bring him to RESQ and give him a chance at a pain-free life.
We have amputated Ali's leg and he is no longer in pain, but he is going to need at least a month of post-operative care, and will need an artificial limb to be able to walk again. This brave, determined animal is all but ready to embrace his new life, but we need YOUR HELP to make this a reality. Please help Ali by sponsoring a prosthetic limb!
