Topi the street dog was sleeping by the side of the road when a car ran right over her, causing a huge tear on the skin of her skull and a badly swollen eye. The wound on her head was badly infected, dirty, and causing her unimaginable pain. At first, we weren’t sure if we could save the huge flap of skin that was dangling from Topi’s face, but once we realised that it was healthy tissue, we took her in for emergency surgery immediately and sutured it up. Topi’s first night at RESQ was critical, and we monitored her throughout. On the second day, this brave girl managed to stand up, and even ate some food on her own! We are still monitoring her closely and are hoping for the very best. Please support Topi’s treatment at RESQ, for every little bit goes a long way!
