A cow's before and after of the painful cervical prolapse treated by our team at RESQ ... Tarini was straining and in a lot of discomfort when she came in. Prolapses often occur during heat period in dairy cows when they don't have access to a well balanced diet with plenty of fibre and roughage. Luckily the prolapsed mass was healthy and free from any contamination. After an initial observation period of 24 hours, the prolapse was repaired. Right now Tarini is under close supervision and recieving antibiotics and pain killers and we are hoping for no more relapses!
