Praline is a cat which was seized from the home of her former owner by the SAS (Society for Animal Safety) team because her well being was being severely neglected. When she was first presented at RESQ, she was in quite a sorry state, her hind quarters soaked and matted in fecal waste and she was extremely malnourished. For the longest time, her gut health was very poor and she was unable to digest even simple food. She had trouble gaining weight because her gut was unable to absorb all the necessary nutrients from her food. Most of the fur on the lower half of her body needed to be sheared because it was dirty, unhealthy and had a foul odour. Her progress and recovery has been extremely slow but there have been changes observed about her body condition. Praline is a vey shy cat who seldom asks for attention as all of the medication and treatment she has been through has made her very wary. Slowly but surely she is warming up to us on that front as well. She can peacefully coexist around both male as well as female cats and we are sure that one day she will find her very own forever home. Do you think you could be the one to give her the forever home she deserves? Head over to the Adopt tab and fill out the Cat Adoption Typeform there! If you can't take Praline home but your heart still wants to do something for her, you can sponsor her treatment and care while she is with us at RESQ. All you need to do is click the Donate button!
