A young donkey was found abandoned and in pain... and for some inconceivable reason, his owners had spray-painted him pink before they abandoned him! When the time came to name him, some of us here at Team RESQ did some wordplay on the word "pink" and decided to name him PINAK, after the great and powerful bow of Lord Shiva; a befitting and stately name.
Pinak is the survivor of a hit-and-run whilst wandering the streets by himself, which left him with a dislocated front shoulder. Treating a dislocation injury on a large animal is extremely difficult due to their size, but Pinak was patient through it all.
He is one of the first donkeys to have come to RESQ, and although he endured a lot of agony, we are so glad that he managed to defeat his pain and trust us enough to reveal the friendly, quirky personality within! Pinak is as affectionate as any dog and is quite needy about attention and cuddles when he gets to know you! His favourite trick is to nibble sleeves and then pretend like it was not him.
