Slashed right between the eyes, we don't know how, when or why it happened.
Nigella was spotted by a local feeder who noticed the slash and immediately brought her to the RESQ Centre.
Our doctors were in disbelief about why someone would attack such a poor soul.
She must be in distress yet never displayed any aggression, rather was calm, composed and friendly.
Flies would not leave her be and constantly irritated her wound. We cannot imagine the kind of pain and irritation she must be going through.
Our vets examined the wound and were relieved that it was superficial and did not do down to her skull. Nigella will be undergoing surgery to patch her wound up and will remain in our care until she recovers completely.
It is thanks to gracious donors like you that we are able to help animals like Nigella. Your support goes a long way in rescuing and caring toward animals in distress.
To contribute towards the care of Nigella, please head over to the link below. Because it's Double the Donation month all through December, all your contributions will be doubled by our Secret Santa. So when you donate towards the care of one dog, you will essentially be helping out two!
