Mona was reported to us with a huge wound on her lower back. According to the caller, she was found a few meters away from a barbed wire fence. Judging by the kind of wounds on her back, it does appear as if there had been a barbed wire stuck there, and needless to say, Mona came to us in excruciating pain. Her wounds are filled with pus and she is dehydrated and weak. We are working hard to stabilise her condition, and flush and clean her wounds. Mona is going to need antibiotics, painkillers, fluid therapy, and daily wound dressings before we can suture her wounds. Her ability to look her pain in the eye and SMILE in spite of it all has us all overwhelmed, and we are doing everything we possibly can to help this brave, beautiful girl overcome her suffering and make a complete recovery! Mona is patient and positive throughout treatment, and we want to help give her the bright and pain-free future she deserves. To help us make this possible, please consider donating towards her treatment!
