Millie’s mother came to us in a critical state with a diaphragmatic hernia. The hernia was caused due to a hit-and-run road accident that put this this heavily pregnant cow under so much stress, that she was forced to give birth prematurely. Sadly, the injuries she sustained from the accident were far too severe, and although we did everything we possibly could in the limited time we had, she passed away. Millie was born prematurely and was extremely frail as a newborn. She needs constant observation and care, handraising and specialised nutrition.
Millie today is a happy little calf who is slowly growing to become a strong, healthy cow! If you'd like to contribute towards her care at RESQ, please click the link below.
