Donald the duck was raised as a petting zoo animal at a roadside dhaba until one day when he staged a grand escape but then got mauled by dogs. He sustained a large wound on his head. The extent of the injury was so much that his skull was exposed.
He required daily dressing and a lot of antibiotics to prevent the large wound from getting infected. Thanks to the close scrutiny of RESQ's vets, Donald's wound got better and he made a full recovery.
Domald stays full time at the RESQ Large Animal Unit. He is best friends with Amby and Bambi the goats, and Suzie the chicken. He loves stealing unsupervised slippers and pecking unsuspecting open toes.
