Abandoned, starving and forcibly separated from her puppies... This is Browny's heartbreaking story!
A week ago, regular community animal caretaker Tina Malkhani Gholap was contacted by a local watchman informing her that a new, "foreign breed" dog had appeared in the locality. It was a young female Doberman. When Tina made enquiries, it turned out that the dog has been abandoned by her owner who left the city about a week ago. Browny had a puppy with her when her owner abandoned her but the puppy was nowhere to be found. A localite allegedly gave away the puppy! Browny was left to fend for herself on the streets.
Without wasting any more time, Tina reached out to RESQ and we had Browny brought in to our Rehoming Centre. She is overall healthy, thankfully, but her teats do suggest that she was lactating until a few days ago. She is in a state of emotional turmoil right now. Her surroundings are confusing for her. She keeps pacing and looking expectedly for someone. It breaks our hearts to see her look so lost and obviously concerned about her lost offspring. We just want her to feel at home.
Browny has been through so much already. She deserves a loving home that will welcome her for who she is and not for how much her progeny are worth. She deserves to know unwavering love for tbe rest of her life!
