Amy had contracted a skin condition that could have been treated with ease. Her owners even brought her for treatment to the RESQ Pet Clinic. But once they left the Centre, Amy's care was completely ignored making her skin condition worse until it got to a point where she had raw, bleeding sore patches on her skin -- some of which had become infested with maggots. Not wanting to care for Amy any further, her owners abandoned her. Now that she's at RESQ, she's getting all the help she needs to help her skin infection clear up. We have started her on antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and supplements. She is also receiving turmeric and aloe vera gel applications on her face to help soothe her skin and speed up the healing process. Once she's fully healed, Amy will need a new home with owners who will NEVER give up on her, but in the meantime, she needs all the support she can get.
