Piku
Share and spread the word:
A kitten came in with a rubber band around her neck. It had created a deep wound and on further diagnosis we found out that the wound had already started healing around the rubber telling us that she had been living with the pain and wound for some time.
In spite of being in so much pain at such a young age she was very calm and snuggled up to us immediately. We named her Piku.
We have successfully removed the rubber band and Piku is currently under treatment at the RESQCT Centre. Her wounds are very deep and she will take at least a month to recover completely.
We do not believe the rubber band was put around her neck maliciously but out of pure ignorance! Share the post to help make more people aware of this dilemma as this isn't the first time and we suspect it won't be the last.
Estimated time of recovery= 1 and half month
Rs. 1,400 = Weekly cost for treatment, nutrition supplements and health boosting food.
Rs. 6,000 = Monthly cost for treatment, nutrition supplements and health boosting food.
