Manu
Share and spread the word:
Manu a calm and friendly resident of Pune, was found badly wounded with multiple dog bites across his spine. We immediately realised that along with the bites there was also something definitely wrong with his hind legs. Further, the X-rays revealed that Manu also had a spinal compression.
Manu was immediately admitted to the centre and started on antibiotics and daily dressings for the dog bites. He was also given daily massages and physiotherapy to help stimulate his muscles and to reduce the chances of muscle atrophy which is a common side effect noticed in paralysed animals.
Initially, Manu’s condition deteriorated, but our team persisted optimistically and continued the treatment, hoping that one day he will be able to walk on his own.
After receiving treatment for more than a month, Manu is showing great signs of improvement. His wounds have nearly healed and his legs are moving and getting stronger.
This, however is just the beginning of Manu’s recovery. He still has a long and tough road ahead.
Rs 6000 = One month of medicines, daily dressing, supplements, physiotherapy and food.
