Bosco
Share and spread the word:
Bosco is the latest victim in the recent surge in Pedigree dog abandonments. He came to us this morning, a Dobermann-Rottweiler mix with cropped ears and docked tail, severely anaemic, covered with flies, fleas and huge ticks, and running an alarmingly high temperature.
What makes our heart ache is the knowledge that Bosco would have been an otherwise healthy young dog, who was cruelly abandoned for reasons we will never be able to understand. All we know is that he is affectionate, friendly, and currently in tremendous pain. Bosco has a deep maggot wound on his back, likely the result of a brutal fight on the streets as he was fending for himself -- a fate that a human-dependent pet dog should never have been sentenced to in the first place.
We currently have two Pugs, two Labradors, three German Shepherds, and now a Dobermann-Rottweiler mix recuperating at ResQ -- all of whom have been abandoned. Sitting next to animals like Bosco, one can sense the sheer anguish and desolation that stems from the realisation that he has been left behind; that he is unwanted, discarded for reasons he will never fathom. While we cannot fully erase the scars of his emotional trauma, what we hope to do now is relieve him of his physical suffering... but we can't do this without your help.
ResQ is already bursting at the seams, and Bosco's treatment is going to be a load we cannot afford without your help. It is often said that dogs like Bosco have no one, but we know for a fact that isn't true. Dogs like Bosco, Sita, Peggy, and others have THOUSANDS of supporters and well-wishers in the form of YOU, our community of animal lovers. Please help these animals see the kinder side of humanity today! Please sponsor Bosco's treatment by clicking the 'DONATE' button below.
