Berry
Share and spread the word:
Berry is a beautiful Persian cat who was abandoned because he was deemed "too aggressive". This poor tomcat was left to wander the streets alone, frightened and disoriented as maggots ate into an infected wound near his ear. When our team rushed him to the RESQ Centre for treatment, our vets noticed that his eyes were stuck together, which is a symptom of cat flu. Berry was so scared and in so much pain that he was hostile at first, and physically flinched at human contact. While we can't say for sure whether Berry suffered from cat flu before or after he was abandoned, what we do know is that Berry's aggression is 100% limited to excessive handling. As long as you aren't trying to pick this tomcat up, you might as well call him a cuddle-bug, because Berry LOVES a good petting! He is the perfect example of how affectionate and trusting animals can be, if only we give them a chance and show them a little love and respect!
