Benji
Share and spread the word:
A local volunteer found a visibly abused, undernourished Cocker Spaniel tied to her front door. This poor dog had a huge, maggot-infested wound on his lower jaw, likely from having been abandoned and left to survive alone on the streets. The volunteer rushed him to the RESQ Centre, and our vets got to work immediately, administering pain medication and topical treatment. Despite being in a strange new environment and having to endure painful wound dressings, this sweet, friendly boy sat through it all patiently, watching us with curious but tired eyes. We have named him Benji :)
While we are unsure as to how long he was neglected for and then abandoned, what we do know for certain is that Benji is determined to survive. In spite of the excruciating pain he is currently in, this little 4-year old has an incredible spirit! Benji’s tail wags uncontrollably at the sight of humans, and he loves with every ounce of his tiny, battered heart. He is going to need a lot of medical attention, care, and most importantly: LOVE. If you’d like to contribute towards Benji’s treatment at RESQ, please click the DONATE button below, for every little bit goes a long way!
