College Visit to RESQCT

“When educating the minds of the youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts” - Dalai Lama

At RESQCT, we believe in spreading awareness and educating the youth about reducing human-animal conflict. It always gives us immense pleasure and joy to see the young minds interested in the same. On the 3rd of October 2017, 20 students accompanied by 2 teachers from the Bharati Vidyapeeth College, Pune, visited our RESQ Centre to know more about our work and spend some time looking around and bonding with our rescued animals.

The students were briefed about the operational activities and fundamental objectives of ResQ Charitable Trust. They were all very keen on going around our centre and after a quick explanatory session, we began the tour. They visited each ward as our representatives narrated various rescue stories of the animals admitted at RESQCT. During the tour, all the students were greeted by our free-roaming dogs and also our little piggy Nahla.

We later took them to the cattle grazing field where they caught our large animal during their favourite time of the day- Grazing time! All students saw our horses rolling in grass, the donkeys chomping like there is no tomorrow and the cows enjoying the sun. After a quick feeding session, everyone headed back to the RESQ Centre where they were joined by our founder President Neha Panchamiya for a Q and A session. All students had a great time, and surprisingly a few hesitant ones even got over their fear of animals by the end of their visit. As a kind gesture, they also donated old newspapers and some treats to the animals for which we would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts!
