Symbi and Cycle – Rescuing Kittens

Cycle

Named this kitten Cycle, not because  he got injured when his neck got caught in cycle spokes but because 10 drops of medicine and he started cycling with all his limbs. All he did was  cycle. He never stood up. All he did was look up at me when we fed him food and medicines and cycle. Cycle stayed with us for 3 days. One afternoon, just after I fed him and just after he did his cycling act for me I left the RESQ office. Just when I thought he is getting better, I got a call from the office that he passed away an hour after I left. When they go on their own..for some strange reason they always try to make you happy before they go. Its  a pattern.

Symbi

My yoga instructor Daphee called us about Symbi, a kitten who was at Range Hills in the Symbiosis Health Club near the swimming pool. Fatima and me went to look at her and she sat there huddled up next to her mother. She walked slow but fine, no broken bones. I thought, maybe something happened and she is in shock. Gave her some Betnesol drops and asked them to call me the next day. There were a lot of people around who really cared about her – the kids and staff. The next day Pankaj, The swimming coach, got her over to the RESQ clinic where we determined that she had had some head injury and a mild edema near her brain was preventing her from keeping balancing which is why she was sitting still as if she was in shock. Her pupils were reacting to light and movement which was a sign that she would 99% recover. We altered our course of medication and Symbi, as Pankaj reports, is doing much better everyday!
